Crushing on you…

Filed under: Uncategorized — gregorymeyer @ 7:59 am

This morning, I commented on a fellow bloggers site about Heroes mostly being “eye candy for women.” I noted a few of the starlets who catch my attention, but there really aren’t any strong attractions there.

[If you're interested, what extraordinary power would you want if you could have one? Some on the show can fly. Others can recover from injury. Others can time travel. Others have immense strength. Etc. What would you want?]

Later, I remembered someone from another show I like – Tami Taylor on Friday Night Lights. As an aside, I catch up with both of these shows on the “Watch Instantly” page on Netflix. Brilliant. No commercials. All goodness.

Connie Britton plays Tami Taylor on Friday Night Lights. Tami is a mother, a guidance counselor, a strong woman, a beautiful spirit and a flipping hottie. She knows when people need help and she takes action. I love that about her.

Tami is my crush of the moment in the popular media. If you hear about me moving to a small town in Texas and shacking up with the football coach’s wife, you know where it started ;)

Peace.

  1. Heroes is eye candy for women…and gay men, seriously I think they are taking Peter’s shirt off in every episode now, and somehow he gets water all over him too….

    hmmmm.

anyway, truthfully the hot boys are not why I watch the show, it’s that it is a comic geek like me dream show.

GM – I had a BIG stack of comic books growing up. I pored over them again and again. I love most things superhero.

  2. OMG- Friday Night Lights is truly the one show I look forward to each week. You can have her, To, I’m taking him! There were no coaches in my high school that looked like Coach Taylor, that’s for sure. I really like what they’re doing with the show this year. Not much football so far, but that’s ok. I was worried when they won state last year that there was nowhere to go with the story lines. Clearly I was wrong! (And I used the word “clearly” just for you!)

Also, on another note, I realized that I don’t have to sign my name on this blog! YIPPPEEEE!!!!!!!! For some reason I couldn’t become a registered user on the other site but it looks like I don’t have to worry about that here.

GM – It’s a deal, Betsy. I’m glad we can work together. The new blog site is already a win-win.

  3. I would like a superpower to get things done faster. Like, I love making dinners and experimenting with new food, but I hate all the time vegetable prep takes. I want to cut to the chase, and speed up time.

GM – I think Sobe knows how to do this.
Seriously, I hear you – AND – I think things move way too fast already (myself included). I want this, too. Shhhh. It will be our little secret.

  4. I’ve never seen Heroes or Friday Night Lights but I like Mike & Ike candy.

GM – Let it be known that I don’t throw “favorite” around willy nilly. Mike & Ike’s are my favorite candy. You, Sobe, are my favorite Amish friend. How you blog without electricity is still a mystery to me.

  5. Hey To,
Just catching up with you (and on your blog no less – won’t Brian be impressed?). Off the subject but had to tell you my girlfriend Jen lives in Portland. She moved there maybe 7 years ago and works with Intel. You may remember her; she was the matron of honor at our wedding. Let me know if you need any info or connections in Portland!!!
    Hope all is well!

GM – BECKY!! Great to hear from you. Thanks for visiting. If The Putz ever visits my blog, I will…well…before I do anything, I’m sure we’ll have to go through the whole “Zippy kinda thing” debate again. HAHAHA! Thanks for the Portland contact. I’ll take you up on that.

  6. Do you watch Bionic Woman? I really don’t like sci-fi/superhero stuff, but for some reason I really like this show. Apparently she has an eye-candy quality as well, though that’s not what sucks me in! Just curious.

GM – I don’t watch the new Bionic Woman. Lindsay Wagner will always be the Bionic Woman to me.
