pregnant with possibilities…

Filed under: Uncategorized — gregorymeyer @ 2:01 pm

all of the possibilities are swimming through my head like an overcrowded fish bowl with fish moving in every direction. this weekend, it is my intention to get all of the fish swimming in the same direction…or maybe to kill off the weak swimmers. (no offense to karl, evilkate)

at my mkp circle last night, i committed to give myself the gift of at least 30 minutes of meditation/prayer/contemplation time. will a simple 30 minutes git-r-done? probably not, but i’ve been thinking about/talking about my options with a few folks. i’m hoping to give myself a number of 30 minute contemplation times over the course of the weekend.

on that note, i’ll be ‘off the grid’ this weekend at an mkp event. it’s our annual gathering, annual business meeting and officer selections. this is the time when another man will (hopefully) step up for the role that i hold in the community. i’ve loved the work and i’m a wee bit burned out on parts of it. i’m ready to make the transition in this area of my life.

what else do you need to know? ummmm… i miss my temporary roomie :) little did i know that living with someone could be so enjoyable. i’ve lived by myself for the past seven-plus years. since my divorce, it’s been just me. maybe i’m open to roommate possibilities in the future.

it’s been super wet here in new england over the past week. i haven’t been on the motorcycle since sunday night and the firepit hasn’t been hot since friday night. i know there’s more fall coming, but i want it all :)

that’s it for now, peeps. do something good for yourself today and have a great weekend!

much love,
greg

  1. Karl isn’t a weak swimmer, so no offense taken. :-)

Sometimes, to get the fish moving, you just have to talk gently. O, and throw in a few flakes in the direction you want them to go. Perhaps some list making would be helpful.

Glad to hear your visitor is being well received. Sometimes it’s nice to have the company.

  2. It’s true, have you ever watched Karl in action? Dude could outswim a shark. He’s got some mad fin muscles.

Hey, Greg, have a good weekend; I hope you get in some of the meditation time you’re seeking. 30 minute contemplation sounds like a good thing. Enjoy.
