ch-ch-ch-ch-changes…

i’m moving to exeter, nh in march. my new address will be 6 gary lane, exeter, nh 03833. stop by anytime. it’s a great, little house on a cute street. all of the walls are mine with no sharing.

this place is about 20 minutes from where i currently live in portsmouth. for all practical purposes, i’m only shaving about 15 minutes off of my commute each way.

why the move? first, i get to stay close to unity, aryaloka buddhist center, my MKP circle and the ocean. second, i gain the aforementioned (albeit minimal) time advantage. third, i get one more room to make a home office. last and not least, i get a yard to sit in while i look at the stars.

i’m excited about installing my new art in this place, too. we’ll see what other changes come along with the move. there’s a perfect spot for a plasma tv above the fireplace

the green machine…

what was speculation has now become reality. i bought the camry hybrid yesterday. WOOHOO!

it’s blue (just like the picture below) and pimped out with leather, moonroof, navigation system, jbl stereo system and much, much more. it’s very nice.

there are tradeoffs, but i think this will be a great car for many years. we’ll see if lasts longer than the standard three year engagement i have with autos

i must admit, it’s super eerie when the gas engine shuts off at a stop light….’twilight zone’ freaky. shout if you want to go for a ride. it gets 520+ miles to the tank.

p.s. - when did 29-36 degrees get balmy? these temperatures feel awesome after being in single digits with biting wind.

going green…maybe…

kinda sexy for a hybrid, no?? 40 city mpg / 38 highway mpg. could save me a bunch of dough on fuel and a tax credit. the prius was too small…or i’m too big. maybe a little of both.

integrity sucks sometimes…

have you ever felt like you need to say something that’s right for you, but you know it’s going to hurt someone else? that was my night.

i feel like i came from a place of integrity and compassion. i feel good about it for me. i just hate that i affected someone else in this way.

i feel like i will pass the litmus test when i get up from this chair — i will be able to look myself in the mirror and know i did the right thing.

yippee. not. funny (ironic) how i know this side of the equation tonight. i’ve been on the other side more recently…job, relationship.

yes, i’m a drama queen tonight. deal with it

seriously, i’m in a good place. i’m going to bed and i have every intention of sleeping well. we’ll see how that works out.

p.s. - the job is going very well. i kicked ass at a presentation on friday. the commute is still long. i’m thinking about buying a camry hybrid. i love my church and buddhist center. i am way behind on e-mails and phone calls. i love you all more than you know.
